A Bit Windy Today..

Just in case you didn't know we are under a wind advisory NO KIDDING!! OMG the wind is crazy out there. I just added this comment a few hours later the wind is really annoying listening to it howl all day SCREAM lol just had to add that.
I went out early this morning to plant the remaining flat of flowers just to get them into the ground and I cleaned up around the rose arbor that is always a project the seeds from the bird feeder that falls wants to grow,so I have to get down there and pull it out the best I can, because I'm a nut and like everything perfect. I wish I wasn't so crazy LOL. I planted asylums at the base of the climbing roses sweet alyssums there called Easter they are probably my favorite I do it every year and it always looks amazing once the grow and fill out. I  was checking to see it the seeds from my neighbors sweet pea was coming up and I think it is so I didn't pull that I think I didn't any way. I'll find out eventually.
Bill still hasn't planted his tomatoes and peppers he was kind of down this week and so he up his oxygen in take last night and he is much better today.

Cindy and the girls came over yesterday we ordered our usual Pizza and enjoy the visit . Julie was expecting her Ba pa to pick her up at school and Meg got off early so she picked her up and Julie wasn't to thrilled she was expecting Ba pa so they came over for a visit.
Its always fun when they come over.
Julie loves her Ba Pa he is in her top 5
Its so cute.
I'm about a 7 LOL
Right above or below Steve not sure. We get a big laugh out of that.

Joe and his helper finally showed up to cut the grass it was getting so long because we have been having rain on and off a few times since he was here last week they do an amazing job I just love it when there done everything looks so perfect.

That's Joe he cuts ours and the next door neighbors grass.
This is Joe's helper.
Our book club meets tonight we are even going to have the author of the book we read  that should be interesting, I wish I had taken the time to read the book, OH Well I had a lot of other things going on lately I will just have to sit and listen.

New Revised Header

A little something I made and put together today, something I like to do create and now that we have let the group die although we are payed up until September.  We just didn't want to do it any more. I think we got burnt out. this is so much more relaxing although I really learned a lot over the 7 to 8 years being in art groups. I'm still in two but they are not as bad as being an owner. never again!!! I have so much more time to create  with out punching a clock and getting it done NOW.
Tonight we are expecting a frost so all the plants I bought and put in pots I covered up with plastic bags I sure hope that helps, the few things in the ground all I can say is I hope they survive. I did cover up one special plant with a bucket. We still have plants in flats that we haven't planted yet its still April and we always get frost in April unfortunately.
Next week or ma by later in the week we will plant the rest and hope for the best.

I haven't seen the baby squirrel at all today. I don't know what happened to him but Abby did get him the poor thing screamed  and we yelled at her and Bill picked her up and brought her in the house what a turmoil that was. That all happened last night in the dark. I have been looking for him all day and no sign. Bill and Liz even looked in the evergreen tree and no sign so hopefully it managed to get away.

I think it was leaving the nest for good and just happened to come down when Abbie was out there. So Sad we were so excited to see it.

That's all from me tonight
Have a good Night whats left of it. Until tomorrow.

I also planted another Knock out rose a Pink one, I'll take a picture tomorrow. Also a couple of shade plants I forgot the name I think its coral bells dark purple. I cut them in half I hope I didn't mess them up.

Last night we went out to dinner for our grand daughters birthday we usually celebrate for a week this time it was two weeks. lol so funny.
We had a good time at least I did.

Thanks For Stopping By.

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday its 70 here today and NO Sun.
I was busy the usual laundry, redoing my wreaths on the front doors changing the flowers to more summery type and put the fall ones away for a while.

I also added the peat moss to the basket and topped it off with a bow.

Last Night
We went to see a play that one of our Grand Daughters was performing in and the other was behind the scenes working usually the one behind the scenes is the one who is doing the performing. It was pretty nice. and of course they did an amazing job.

Tomorrow were going out to eat for the youngest grand daughters Birthday it should be fun I know I am looking forward to it. I also have to bake 100 potatoes for a benefit being held tomorrow.

I just had to show you what 100 potatoes looks like.
Steve put them in the oven for us early, so all we have to do is just  turn the oven on and let them bake away.

Recipe Peanut Butter Sugar Cookie Recipe

 Its almost NOON!!
I  finally finished planting all the flowers I bought the other day.
I might get more I haven't decided yet if I want to or not.
 OHHHH the big decision.
I had three little plants left and didn't want to put them in the ground so I thought why not add them to a basket just to see how that works out, what a mess I made doing that, LOL so now I have to go out and buy peat moss to go around the edge to hold the dirt in.
The Joys of being a gardener. But the end reward is always worth it.

It doesnt look like much but after the peat moss and a ribbon top it will look so adorable.

I snapped a few pictures of some of our tree and thought I would share them.
Spring is always a happy time for me with all its new beauty.
Here are a few of my trees.

That's my High Maintenance Weeping Willow.
Its a pretty tree and we were going to have it cut down because of all the work it causes, raking up twiggs and leaves way in to December.
I chickened out and just couldn't do it.
The birds and squirrels love this tree.

This one is a Silver Maple
I have it shaped up pretty nice.
An easy one to care for.

Here is my Red Maple
We had it planted two years ago.
It will be a while before it's really mature.
Red Maples are beautiful trees when mature.
Red Maples have a special meaning to me.
That's why we had one planted.

And finally our beautiful Honey Locus
A very pretty tree and I have it shaped up really nice.
 The best I could.
I don't like trees that block my view its a crazy thing I have.
I like to be able to look our and see
not be blocked by tree branches hanging way down..

I guess that comes from living in a big city all my life and all you could see was your garage the neighbors garages and the alley. Our house didn't have a front porch we had a side entrance so we had no choice but to have a patio built and sit in the  back.
I m grateful we at least had the airplanes to watch come in for a landing or taking off into the sky to there next destination.
Of course not the actual take off but once they were a few 100 feet  up in the air.
That was pretty cool.

Today Iam baking!
Cookies for a benefit coming up this weekend.
I might just sample one maybe two.
I love cookies.

1 package Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix

 Yep its morning!
I wanted to say Howdy before I start me day.
Here is a little something I worked on in my Pixel art group I belong to
It was hard to do maybe because the instructor is very picky and I stressed my self out doing an absolutely perfect job. I think it turned out amazing if I do say so my self. LOL

Its an amazing morning the sun is shinning not a breeze out there, so I must get busy.
Spring is always a busy time I enjoy digging in the dirt and creating out side with this and that.  I tore up one border that was here when we moved in and I finally put a different one down.

Today I want to be out and enjoy after being cooped up all winter sitting in front of the computer. This morning we are going to the garden center its an amazing place the biggest one I have ever seen and an amazing variety its mind boggling. I'll try to control my self I don't want to over do it, I have to remind my self I only have so much space and its a lot to take care of.
I will definitely buy geraniums, I thought no I'm not going to put them in the front but they do look so pretty during the summer so I will be buying them.
I also want to add another Rose I love them and they are so low maintenance and beautiful. I will put it where I usually put 3 geraniums and it will come back year after year.
Of course  Wave petunias for the hanging pot and the large pot in the corner there my favorite what an amazing flower they are. Oh and cant forget the heliotropE love the color of  them dark purple.

I usually buy a few and group them together they look so much better when there grouped.

Aletha is sending me a message I have to close for now since I don't want to loose this.

Green Onion Potato Salad

1 Tbsp. PLUS 2 tsp. Kosher salt, divided

1-1/4 cups Hellman's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise

2 Tbsp. white wine vinegar

1 to 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped

2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

6 green onions (green and pale green part), thinly sliced

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro or flat leaf parsley
Instructions

1.Cover potatoes with water in 4-quart sauce pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender; drain and cool slightly. Slice into 1/4-inch-thick slices.

2.Combine Hellman's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise, vinegar, jalapeno peppers, salt and black pepper in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients and toss gently. Season, if desired, with additional salt and pepper. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Now doesn't that sound easy.
I think I would add bacon to mine or ham chunks.

Today is actually the 15th
