Our Texas Road Trip

Our first campground stop was beautiful with all the fall colors.

Arkansas was our first stop.
We were at the White River Jackson port Arkansas state park.

It was cold and rainy for most of the trip. 
it was sunny and warm when we got home.
I had to buy a hat that will never be worn again.
there was so much rain I didn't want to be sick for our trip..

there were many bathhouses on the strip all designed differently and beautifully.
I think I counted 7.

all the campgrounds were beautiful, what a great experience we all had.
I posted this one because it's so cute.. Its called a tear drop design.

We stopped at two Buckys on our trip one in Texas and one in Alabama.
The State Parks were awesome.
we tried the brisket sandwich it was so good.



On the road again..


The Gulf of Mexico was cold and rainy.


Salt Lake was our favorite stop 7 or 8 bath houses all beautiful 
and across the street several blocks of shops. my kind of place.

Their Christmas tree was all decorated with homemade ornaments Kitty Dog and child proof so beautiful.


Texas has palm trees I love the south.





On our way home we stopped at a buffet in Alabama
 a big buffet and so good..

Thanks for getting this far,
 believe me when I say I only posted a few of the pictures I took.

Since Christmas is right around the corner I will post a Christmas recipe
 because I always post a recipe at the end of my post.









Cranberry orange wiskey sour





 

  • 2 ounces whiskey (we prefer bourbon)
  • 1 ounce fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • ½ ounce fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ ounce unsweetened cranberry juice
  • ¾ ounce simple syrup or maple syrup
  • Clear ice, for serving
  • Orange wheel or twist, cocktail cherry, cranberries or rosemary sprig, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice and shake until very cold.
  2. Add ice to a lowball or Old Fashioned glass and strain the drink into the glass. Garnish with an orange slice, cocktail cherry or fresh cranberries, and rosemary sprig (if desired)
